Camping
The weekend before school let out we piled in and took off for Lake Wenatchee. We went camping up there with a bunch of families from school, enjoyed the beautiful lake, camp fires, tons of food and treats galore. We also got a ridiculous amount of mosquito bites, but that pretty much doesn't matter when you have such a great time. #personal #lifestyle #camping

The New Field
Gosh, it's been nearly a year since I've blogged. Time to change that! I've got a ton of photos that I haven't shared on here, mostly due to laziness. Bad to admit but also feels good...haha! Starting off with some photos from a few days ago when we tried out the new turf field at school. It's incredibly bouncy, I've never been on a brand new turf field before. I can see why the kids love it so much! Also it's crazy to think that we'll be starting another soccer season soon,

cars and flare
When your kids are asking what you're doing in the Target parking lot and you have to tell them to hang tight because the light is just right. #personal #lifestyle

flowers and freelensing
The light was just so and we had to water the flowers again, so my big kid let me practice freelensing a bit. She got a little too close for comfort a few times with my lens detached and all, but overall I'm glad I took the risk. #freelensed #personal #lifestyle

4th of July
Well, nearly a month later and I am getting around to sharing my 4th of July photos on the blog. We went up to Camano Island with my parents, aunt, and some friends and their kids. We spent the days crabbing and the evenings gathered around the fire pit telling stories, drinking wine, roasting marshmallows. Basically it was a little slice of heaven rolled into a few days that went by way too quickly. Here's a little glimpse into the 4th of July. #personal #lifestyle #travel

Copenhagen
So let's just start with I LOVE COPENHAGEN! Seriously. Such a fun city. I was completely blown away by how walkable/bikeable it is. Stephan and I walked for hours the first day we were there - we arrived at 6AM and couldn't check in to our air bnb until 1PM so we had nothing else to do but explore. After walking for hours we knew we would need to rent bikes. I mean, the city is so completely flat how can you not bike everywhere. Not only that, it is so bike and pedestrian fri

Iceland
A month or so ago my husband and I headed across the pond to Denmark, Sweden and then on the way back, stopped over in Iceland. Here was our trip to Iceland in a nutshell. #Iceland #personal

Camera remotes and self portraits
I remembered that I had a camera remote (purchased off amazon for a couple buck) tucked away in my bedroom. I had just finished reading a number of books to the littlest one and figured I had better get a photo of us snuggling on her bed and playing in her room. I knew with the remote she would be pretty engaged, so I set the camera up and let her press the button. I ended up with a number of photos that I'm pretty sure I will love forever because they are totally just us

Front yard gymnastics
When you get home from a day at school and you can't help but do cartwheels in the front yard. I even jumped in for a quick photo with my youngest. #366 #selfportrait #personal

Prisming
Yeah so I jumped in on the trend. I have to admit, it's pretty fun. Using a prism is hard though...especially when you have a battery grip on your camera and are recovering from major tendonitis in your right hand. Let's just say my arm and especially my wrist were tired after practicing for a little bit. If you haven't tried it, just watch Sam Hurd's tutorials. I bought this prism off Amazon and it does the trick. #personal #prism #366 #lifestyle
